The ALLIANCE COMMUNICATOR 19th edition       Fall Edition

COST CONTAINMENT and PROCUREMENT SERVICES  are becoming the NEWEST  BUZZ WORDS in the PRODUCTION COMMUNITY.

NewsFlash...Ameritech will now offer Long Distance in Michigan...starting before Oct 1, 2003

Reduce Costs and Maintain Quality of Service:

As more and more businesses reduce experienced staff in their accounts payable departments it is becoming almost impossible to keep track of contract expiration dates, Evergreen Clauses, contract rates for approved products and services, and other costs.  Contract renegotiations are not on the radar screen of most of our clients.  This is costing ATI's clients billions of dollars of wasted expenditures which are "missed saving opportunities".  ATI has the solution and is resolving this for many of its clients.  Just give us a call and we will explain.

Telecommunication Rates:

Rates are continuing the free fall and savings are available in almost every telecommunication product and service that are used by Corporate America.  In some instances we have achieved zero rates for calls that were being charged by the minute.  Including the monthly charges rates have gone so low, we have had to purchase new calculators in order to calculate these unbelievably low rates.

How do corporations benefit from these new rates and technologies?  It is essential that a complete audit of the equipment and services is completed before new technologies are presented.  Once all the network services are documented the design for updating of the network can be completed.

What the corporation is paying as compared to what it should be paying, compared to what it could be paying will enable the corporation to achieve the maximum savings.

Do not switch carriers until the inventory is completed and the credits are issued by the offending carrier.  If you switch too early you will miss substantial credits and refunds

Quality of Service Issues:

If you think your carrier is not supporting you don't feel alone.  The entire industry has abandoned the quality of service we have grown up to expect.  Do not expect compassionate service or substantial help any longer.  You must become pro-active and check your rates, bills, renegotiate new rates, update your service and demand, demand, demand, demand what you have coming.  Do not give up and be persistent.

Anger will not help, just constant persistent pressure with  logical and proven written summaries of what you have been overcharged.

Cell Phones:

Finally, we have a competitor for Nextel.  Verizon has push to talk.  We will be updating you on the quality of service in the next edition.

Number portability (you will be able to keep your phone number and go with the carrier of choice) is scheduled to be in service at the end of November 2003.  This has changed three times so do not yet make plans...however it seems that it is going to be reality very very soon.

Utilities/Other Purchase Services:

Costs reductions are available for Electric, Gas, Trash, Travel, Transportation and other areas of business operations.  We will help you reduce your costs. Just call and we will explain.
