The ALLIANCE COMMUNICATOR 22nd edition

February 2004 Edition

Office supply, photo copier printing, in house color and black & white printing costs are an ever increasing nightmare. Businesses are unable to maintain cost control.

Outsourcing systems to get these costs under control are now available through ATI.

How do you maintain quality of service and reduce costs at the same time:

Foundational inventories of all items involved in the project are essential.  How costs are calculated by the vendor and how these calculations compare with existing agreements, charges, existing PO's and current billing determines if charges are accurate.  This tedious project is avoided by most companies since the number of items is overwhelming and interferes with existing staff functions.

When an outside vendor is paid based on amount saved the win-win relationship begins to develop.  The outside expert must be able to present systems that can maintain long term methods that will continue to maintain savings when  projects are completed.

Telecommunication Rates and Service Issues:

Telecommunication costs are still spiraling out of control.  Every business must watch every telecommunication bill and compare the rates being charged with the contract rates.  We are finding many problems with overcharges.  However, the most dramatic savings comes from the fact that almost all of our clients are on the wrong programs because the carriers confuse the public with thousands of combinations of programs that are impossible for a businessman to understand.  It takes a full time auditor to figure out what programs are best.  Outsourcing this process is recommended.

Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) is exploding on the scenes.  As equipment costs are reduced and as carriers begin to offer fixed fee services dramatic savings can be generated.

However, there are still major technical problems. Costs of equipment and upgrading can spiral out of control and reliability can be non-existent.

We have experimented with a specific FIXED FEE service and are pleased to announce that it has passed every test we have tried.  We have had two outages in 12 months that lasted less then 10 minutes.  We have only experienced "Jitter" several times during the trial period.

This service has saved ATI a fortune. After our clients complete foundational inventories, in many cases, we are recommending VOIP with fixed fee programs and generating astounding savings.

If you outsource telecommunication auditing services it is highly likely that the cost to outsource will be recovered and extra savings will be obtained through efficient monitoring of your monthly invoices, reduction in rates for products and services and just by contacting the proper service provider and reducing down time.

Reduce your insurance costs:

Have you tried to read your insurance policies lately?  Without patience and many hours of pain it has become almost impossible for the businessman to understand coverage, rates and how to reduce the ever increasing costs.  Our experts read your policies and develop an inventory of services.  This generates competitive bids and enables you and ATI to be able to compare complex information and to reduce your costs.

We work with a host of experts that review your insurance program, employee benefit program, your general liability policies and any other insurance programs you have.  We do not get commissions and have no affiliations with any Insurance Company which allows us the ability to reduce costs  and find the best program for you.

New Services:

How do you purchase services and items?  ATI reviews your procurement processes and develops programs that not only reduce costs but continue saving as you move into the future.

Accounts Payable Audits:

As purchasing of goods and services has expanded companies have reduced staff.  Transactions are increasing exponentially.  Systems have not been implemented that have kept accounts payable systems under the tightest possible control.  Therefore, when Accounts Payable audits are conducted there are often .1% to as much at 1% recovery from vendors that have been overpaid for many reasons.  Duplicate payment is common because vendors typically send multiple invoices over several months. Vendors can generate invoices with different invoice numbers causing duplicate payment. Discounts are not always received or are under calculated and returns are not always issued proper credits.  Finally, agreed to contract pricing over thousands of items are often overlooked.

We highly recommend that you let us do an Accounts Payable Audit on a contingent fee basis which will enable you to achieve the highest benefit at no risk.

ATI:

Business has become so complex that where ever you need help in reducing costs ATI has assembled experts.  ATI has over 50 experts working on services as varied as Waste Disposal, Facility management, Insurance, Telecommunications, Procurement Services, Leases, Utilities and Managed Travel as well as other specialized cost reduction areas.  These experts are trained and specialize in reducing your costs.

OUR PROMISE TO YOU: "We have developed services and systems so you will have the most cost effective Procurement Services possible.  We  inventory your equipment and  services and make recommendations that best support your Cost Containment goals.  ATI will be able to work with your existing vendors and develop  saving suggestions that will substantially reduce your procurement costs and your service provider costs.   We do not work for vendors we work for you."

We hope you will look forward to the Communicator and would appreciate any feedback that you would like to provide.
